What does my Backflow Preventer do??!!
|
The Backflow Preventer (PVB) is a device that allows water to go in one direction only, so the contaminant warter cant go backwards in the opposite direction.
Most backflow preventers are used to keep unsafe/ contaminant water from reversing flow and entering the clean water supply which goes to our houses.
Does all sprinkler system need a PVB ? YES
If someone tells you the differ you can be 100% sure that person does not know anything about safety and does not care about your family safety.
There are many kinds of Backflow Preventer and a licensed irrigator will know which one is suitable for your system and up to code.
Many Backflows will break during a hard freeze most and relatively cheap to fix at simply sprinkler we charge from $110 up to $240 on residential.
For any more info we will be happy to answer you .
